The New Logo!!!!!

Playing with minis started for me in 1987, after mainly two stroke tuning.

'88 saw a move from 'side line' to full time employment at Avonbar racing, continuing for three years. During this time, housemate and fellow mini tuner Mat Smith had started work for Mini Spares of London, the progression followed on and in '92 Vmax racing was born in Esher Surrey, later moving to the Molesey works.

Things were going well, Turbo conversions, car features on mine and Paul Wiffins turbos, a speedster, the engine dyno, Modified mini heads sold to most of the top mini specialists was keeping us busy, until a slow period and failed buy out put us quickly in the red .

'98 saw the close of Vmax, and the start of SCART (Specilised Competition Automotive Research and Technology) based in Hersham surrey. The main work was mini heads for the trade, and exploring the Asian mini markets of Hong Kong and Japan. This in turn led to some hands on tuning around the world, a workshop in Hong Kong and then followed by a move to Australia. Fuji Speedway Japan - 5 out of 6 Class Wins

Mini work being thin on the ground, cylinder head work changed to offshore power boats in v8 form, from the coffs harbour NSW workshop. Market slumps from Sept 11th saw the close of the Hong Kong outlet. This combined with other things led to a move back home, also the best place to put into practice a 5 and 6 speed gearbox design I had been working on while there.

And so to today with the Molesey workshop offering Rolling Road tuning, cylinder head shop with flow bench facilities, and what is believed to be the world's first 6 speed helical gearbox conversion Vmax Scart
