1275cc road spec cylinder head perfect for mild applications up to 90 hp, single/twin point injection engines or hif 44 carburetted.
As with all Vmax Scart cylinder heads, the valve guide boss is completely removed from inlet and exhaust ports. It is fully modified to proven flow bench specifications. Using cast guides standard type 'MG'35.7 x 29 mm valves, guide bosses completely removed suitable for unleaded 90+BHP. Costs are kept low but performance is high. Unleaded exhaust inserts are fitted where required.

rally spec suits power in the 125 bhp category (although we have seen 133 on a 1380 with 649 cam) sold by some of our customers as a race head (£550 !!). It is based around the parts of the road plus but with more extensive portwork, modified guides to increase airflow, pushrod sleeved inlets where necessary, Webber carburation and good spec of engine ness. Not really suitable for u/leaded road use. £520

Cylinder Heads for the new MINI
As an addition to cylinder head porting, manifold flowing gives otherwise overlooked gains, and on the 's' supercharger case modifications give respectable gains as to air flow and lower operating temperatures, especially when using aftermarket smaller pulleys to increase boost.


S Efficiency rework, manifold/supercharger £200

Cylinder heads based on the 16 valve 1.6 litre Mercedes owned (embarrassing for the ' BMW mini'? ) Chrysler engine the one, cooper and 's' share the same cylinder head casting.

Compression ratio's can be changed depending on engine spec to give optimum performance, especially 'S'.

Please ask if advice is needed on anything listed, prices are based on customers head casting. Exchange from £100 extra.

In standard form the engine is vastly undervalved, larger diameter race material valves, upped from 23mm to 25mm on the exhaust side balance the inlet to exhaust flow ratios, releasing up to 25 bhp on the cooper/one and more on the "s" - subject to fuel and ignition being revised.

When buying a head from us, tell us as much information as you can regarding: cam choice, deck heights, fuel, rules for compliance if necessary, inlet and exhaust systems and its use.

Even if you don't buy a head from us, here are some pointers to make sure your money has gone into the head and not someone's pocket!!
