Using the Emerald M3D ignition and injection ECU I can offer 'factory' levels of engine management. After trying the competition I now realise there is no alternative for a REAL 'turn key' solution, afterall if you are going to replace the management system it must be with something that offers all of the Rovers refinements but be programmable.
With its 32 bit processor it is one of the most advanced and fastest on the market, when configured to use Rover parts and sensors, it is almost direct replacement for the standard ECU, spares if required are easily available and compatabillity of OEM plugs and wiring makes it a factory quality installation.
Use of a closed loop lambda sensor, idle control valve, throttle pot, manifold pressure, air and water temps as well as crank sensing give and extremly broad mapping area for all instances and requirements and remove the need for troublesome disributor. I have written various 'mini' maps that can be fine tuned for most applications or can start from scratch again using my Sun Ram 300 Rolling Road Dyno if its something that has yet to be seen, remapping if you change your engine spec is easily done.
